Hi! My name is Carol Koppenheffer, and I have been a parishioner here St. Joseph’s since 2017. The first ministry that I got involved in was the OCIA (then RCIA). I had been the Director of Adult Formation and Evangelization, which included directing the OCIA, for fourteen years at my former parish. When I came to St. Joseph’s, I was teaching full time at Mater Dei High School as a Religious Studies teacher. I was excited, once again, to work with adults who were in the process of becoming Catholic. I had felt God calling me back to work more in parish life, so I found a home here at St. Joseph’s. I eventually was hired to be the Coordinator of Adult Sacraments here. I look forward to working with all of you and our Inquirers, Catechumens and Candidates who want to join our Catholic Community or complete their Sacraments of Initiation.
I live in Anaheim, near Disneyland, but come here to St. Joseph’s because I found you all to be a wonderful parish community! I felt like I was at home when I first came here in 2017. I have a 33-year-old son, Joseph, who lives and works in Denver, Colorado. I love the outdoors and outdoor camping, and, in the summertime, I work with a Camp Fire resident camp in Running Springs, training future counselors, teaching camp craft skills, and serving on the Directing Team for the Camp. During other seasons, you will find me at home working in my yard, baking, reading, visiting with friends, and doing home improvement projects.
I look forward to your friendship, support and help to welcome our new Inquirers, Candidates and Catechumens so they will feel welcome, at home, and a part of our St. Joseph’s community, just as I was when I arrived here!
