The Chancellor assists the grand knight and deputy grand knight in the execution of their duties and takes charge of the council in the absence of the grand knight and deputy grand knight.   He chairs the membership activities of the council to attract new members, getting them through the three degrees and making new members feel welcome in our council. 

Officer's jewel The Chancellor's jewel is the Isabella Cross, with Skull and Crossbones; it is worn on a black over white ribbon.   The Cross is self-explanatory, while the Skull and Crossed Bones are symbolic of man's mortality.   The Chancellor wears a black robe trimmed with white and a white cincture with silver fringe.   He also wears a black mantle with white roll collar.
