Join us as we set aside time to prepare for Lent What is Lent? Lent is a time of focusing on your faith life and preparation for the events of Holy Week and Easter. It starts on Ash Wednesday and lasts for 40 days. The focus of this time is repentance, reflection, and renewal by drawing closer to God. What are you doing for Lent this year? The 3 pillars are Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving.Through Prayer, we seek God and draw closer by reading scripture and spending time with Him.Through Fasting and exercising self-control, we purify ourselves and walk away from things we just don’t need.Through Almsgiving, we give back and offer to others for all that God has given us in a posture of serving.
By preparing our hearts and making a plan for Lent, it gives us the space and opportunity to dive more intimately into this beautiful penitential season.
